This weekend is designed for the enthusiastic fetish photographers, fetish models, and those that are curious and want to learn more.
You are welcome to attend as a shooting pair, solo model, solo photographer, or simply an auditors.
Tickets for each below.
Models - Should be willing to have photos taken of them as a teaching aid for photographers. Models will receive some edited high quality images of the photographers work. Models will not receive all raw images. Ideally models walk away with a few really great images they can use however they like. Negotiate to level of comfort.
Photographers - Should be willing to work with models to deliver a small hand full of high quality images. You will have the opportunity to learn and apply, in real time the lessons set out for you each day. Negotiate to level of comfort.
Auditors - may volunteer to model but should not take opportunity away from those signed up as models. Auditors will not have a photo station available to them and may not take photos of models during classes. For you, this is an opportunity to soak up as much technical knowledge as you can and seek intrinsic value from being in the room.
Pairs - Photographers and models attending together are welcome to “mix and match” throughout the weekend. Keep in mind consent and negotiation are at the foundation of every interaction. What someone has consented to with someone else does not apply to you and all interactions should be discussed.
All attendees are welcome with us the entire weekend including Friday night’s cell phone photo class and Saturday night’s photo play party.
“Pairs” are welcome to participate however they like. To attend as a group of 3 or more please buy a ticket for one pair and then an additional ticket for the role that best fits the other people in your group.

Metered, cinematic lighting... rigged with nylon.
Although he began with Japanese style rope, he quickly gravitated to the simple, strict, positional Western style bondage concepts of artists like Robert Bishop, John WIllie, Claire Adams, and Jay Edwards. Creating challenging predicaments is still his favorite.
Exploring kink also rekindled a love of photography. Collaborating with Pro photographer Coner for AardvarkFetish, allowed him to gain new skills and the chance to polish them in practice. It became his new mission to change the culture of kink events to include QUALITY photography opportunities. Whether shooting a performance, running a lighting workshop, or hosting a photo room, bringing better photography to kink has become his passion.
He continues to learn and grow as an artist, with influences ranging from Norio Sugiura to Frank Frazetta, and Bunny Yeager to Ridley Scott.
Now, as a professional vanilla and kink photographer for well over a decade, he continues to work with kinksters of all demographics to show how fun and easy it can be to get quality shots of their play, performances, and art concepts with whatever gear they have, in almost any setting.
Kinky lover of all things bondage, Bodacious_Minx is a rope switch with nearly a decade of experience in the rope bondage community. She is experienced in all aspects of rope as a rigger, bottom, and self suspender. Her dedication to create a safe and inclusive space where boundaries are explored without fear or judgment allow for a fun and educational environment for all. With influences ranging from John WIllie and the Kitan Club to Scooby Doo, ensure that she never runs out of creative, sexy fun.
With a background in graphic design, fabrication, and fashion; both pre and post production allow her to scratch a creative itch. Working professionally, in studio and on location, over the years has given her the chance to collaborate with a wide variety of kinksters. In addition to her expertise in post production, her creativity in rigging, posing, costuming and setting a scene are instrumental in taking a concept from imagination to a finished image.

You are welcome to attend the workshop with any camera, including a phone. But the focus will be on working lighting, using digital cameras and OFF CAMERA FLASH. If you choose to attend without OCF gear, using a phone, or a film camera, it will be up to the attendee to work with their gear and capabilities. We will not slow the class down to figure out how to wrangle lighting for a phone, or find a local 1-hour photo that will print your film between sessions.
Suggested, not required, basics to maximize your weekend:
- Digital camera (both SLR and Mirrorless are fine). Make sure it has:
- Hot shoe for flash trigger
- Manual mode and settings
- ISO
- Shutter speed
- Aperture / fstop
- white balance
- A memory card for the camera. It doesn’t have to be huge or fast.
- A lens. Something in the 24-70 range cropped sensor and 35-105 full frame. It doesn’t have to be prime, fast or zoom. Whatever you have (or need an excuse to buy) will be fine.
- At least one strobe, flash or speedlight.
- At least one lighting modifier (aka umbrella, or softbox)
- A light stand for every strobe and modifier you bring
- A Reflector.
- A trigger for your camera and flash.
We’ll distribute some suggestions and links, you can spend as much or as little as you like.
-
All experience levels are welcome.
Questions, and clarifications are welcome, there will be plenty of demonstrations, but we are not going to spend time teaching you how to focus the new camera you are unboxing Saturday morning.
Come with batteries charged, cards formatted, and hopefully a basic frame work we can build from all weekend.
Not required, but if you want to get the most out of the weekend, here are some basics to equip yourself with:
How to focus YOUR camera.
AFS vs AFC.
Spot vs zone
What is your camera’s “sync speed”? (hint probably 1/200 or 1/250)
How do you set the white balance?
How do you format a memory card?
How to adjust the three legs of the EXPOSURE TRIANGLE on YOUR camera.
Aperture / fstop
ISO
Shutter speed
How to sync / trigger your lights.
Notes from Knot_head
Please practice setting up YOUR gear, and triggering your strobes. I’m not concerned with how the shots come out, I just want to make sure you can set things up, and they flash when you pull the trigger.
Understand how to set up YOUR stands, and modifiers.
I’m not a brand snob, and I shoot mostly on inexpensive travel gear. But, please make sure everything fits, and interfaces, proper mounts, etc. Not a bad idea to put your name on ALL YOUR GEAR, there will be a bunch of very similar gear.
Mirrorless:
How to toggle between “live setting effect” on and off. (How to get a bright screen to focus indoors, versus being able to dial up the ambient exposure without shooting)
Concepts you might want to hit youtube for to get a baseline:
Inverse square law
Depth of field
Composition
Synch speed / high speed synch
