Rope, Kink, Art Boutique Mission

Our Mission at Oblige Rope, Kink, Art Boutique is to provide a safe and inclusive, consent-focused, risk-aware environment by offering classes, events, workshops, artistic opportunities and social events related to Shibari and BDSM/kink. It is a place for individuals and couples to learn, explore, recreate and connect through Shibari, generalized kink interests and relationship enhancement. We are continually building an atmosphere to normalize kink and encourage like-minded people to find their own path and create their own experiences in BDSM/kink with respect and safety. 

Our space and events offer a clean, stable, supportive and comfortable place for members and guests to engage in BDSM/kink as they wish. Through community building, BDSM education and social events, Oblige will and has become a sanctuary for those who desire a ‘kinky’ home away from home. 

But Are our Events Right For You?

We like to think that our events are suitable for all individuals and couple looking to learn about and explore Kink/BDSM/Rope Bondage. We have found this to be true for the most part but we need to need to stress,

LGBTQIA+ and friends welcomed.

• LGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity. These include lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, transgender, non-binary, genderqueer/fluid, queer, intersex, asexual, aromantic, agender and other non-mainstream identifying folx not mentioned.

• “Friends” are people of any and all kinds of gender and sexual identities who are aware and respect needs of and boundaries of a queer safe space. They recognize the necessity of these spaces and support them.

• “Friends” to LGBTQIA+ folx show, acknowledge and are respectful of everyone’s self-expression.

• “Friends” do not assume, presume or project non-consensual ideas onto others.

• “Friends” actively request and use people’s chosen pronouns.

• “Friends” have a genuine concern for the well-being of LGBTQIA+ folx and are aware of heterosexual and cisgender privileges.

• We don’t have to be perfect. None of us are. Oblige simply asks that attendees stay open minded, act pro-actively, and strive to be good friends and allies to marginalized people.
