Boundless Class Offerings
We are offering two tracks. 15 classes with 8-9 presenters. One BDSM/kink influenced track and the other Rope/Shibari Influenced track. Attendees can attend all of one track or mix and match as they see fit.
BDSM/Kink Influenced Track

The world is full of risks, but each of us have different levels of willingness, capacity, and interest in taking the risks we might come across in our life. The same is true in our kinky pursuits. In this class we will look at what a risk profile is and how to decide what choices we might feel comfortable with around physical risks, legal repercussions, emotional fallout, potential psychological damage, (mis)communication possibilities, and the effects some play can have on our relationships. From Gambler’s Fallacy and trauma bonding to altered states and disproportionate effects risks can have on some populations, this will be a wild ride. Though open to all attendees, buckle in as we will be discussing a variety of “edge play” activities as well as things people might consider immoral, illegal, inappropriate, dubious, or dangerous.

We have been “playing pretend” since we were young, but kinky sexuality opens up new and potentially taboo forms of roleplaying. Join us as we explore the shadowy realms of our fantasies and make-believe we can try on: abduction, torture, snuff, fantastical realms, and anything else our twisted minds can dream up. We will discuss the joys of playing consensually in our closets, why these dark desires turn us on, how to bring up these taboo interests with our partners, negotiating our interests, and troubleshooting the challenges these types of fantasies can elicit.

The world over, body modification is used as a way to express identity – whether that is self-identity, cultural (or subcultural) affiliation, milestones, political views, or spiritual connections. We have all made modifications to live our lives, such as having a specific hair style to blend in with our peer circles or dressing in a certain way. We will look at the wide variety of body modifications available today from henna/mehndi to hook suspension, tattoos to ritual jewelry, stage makeup to genital reconstruction surgery, breast augmentation to flesh removal. We will also discuss the energy inherent in each type of modification, issues of cultural appropriation, and the social implications of body modification. Let’s examine why every act of modifying our flesh can be sacred, and every act can be profane – no matter the type of alteration, no matter the transformation.

“Create safer, more dramatic backbends in rope suspension”
This combination class includes a brief lecture on the anatomical functions of the spine, exercises to strengthen backbends for bottoms, tips for tops in tying backbends, and a full suspension sequence. Which parts of the spine are most mobile in you bottom? How can you tell? Learn how to exploit the talents of your bottom’s spine effectively for more dramatic backbend shapes.

“Twist with intention, not tension”
Torsion is one of the most misunderstood — and most risky — forces in rope. This class explores how twists develop in the body in suspension, how to recognize unsafe load paths, and how to adjust for healthy rotation. This class includes a brief lecture, exercises to improve torsions on both sides, and a full suspension sequence.

Unlock the secrets of contrabody play where a shift in leverage is more powerful than muscle. Athena Kali will demonstrate dynamic floor play for movement and suffering using bamboo poles where power isn’t about brute strength; it's about harnessing the principles of physics and pushing the boundaries of suffering to create impossible movement. In this intense, hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to transform a simple bamboo pole into a dynamic tool for flipping, lifting, and dictating direction with movement-based, dynamic, time-bound ties. We will explore radical angles and body mechanics that enable dynamic movement with grace and precision, using aggressive, low-to-the-ground shibari that pushes the boundaries of physical tolerance and spatial awareness. Come ready to sweat, to explore your edge, and push the limits of your tolerance. Participants should have intermediate rope experience (basic ties and tension work) and bring at least four lengths of rope.
Please stretch before class and ensure you and your tying partner are aware of any injuries and bodily limitations.
Oblige will provide body bamboo poles for class. If you would like to bring your own we will be using one smooth bamboo pole, no larger than 1’’-2’’diameter and 4-5 ft feet long.

Advanced tying couples often reach a plato in their journey and it can be hard to make the jump from copying sequences to doing dynamic transitions in scene. In this tie-along class, we will start with some basic shapes, but show ways to think critically about moving through the air. We will provide ideas to improve your technical skill, and share techniques to bring your suspensions to new shapes and sensations. Prerequisites: Basic uplines, suspendable back loading upper body harness, suspendable futomomo or similar one leg harness.

When Suolinga and Nira began tying, they intentionally practiced the same sequence over and over again. This drill helped to build confidence and the muscle memory needed to later explore with more difficult transitions, but how did they come up with their sequence? In this tie along class, we will show students how to create their own “Skeleton Sequence.” After a fun sequence building activity, couple will get the chance to test their ideas out in class. Prerequisites: Basic uplines, suspendable back loading upper body harness, suspendable futomomo or similar one leg harness.

The Daruma tie is an iconic Shibari position that takes inspiration from the Daruma dolls in Japanese culture. It can be a challenging technical tie for rope tops and a physically demanding position for rope bottoms. In this class, we’ll break down the structure, mechanics, and safety considerations needed to confidently apply this tie along with variations that still capture the essence of the “Daruma”.
Prerequisites/Tools: single-column tie; suspendable arms-free chest harness that can be loaded from the back; upline ties and lock offs; 6-8 hanks of 7-8m rope; safety shears or similar rope cutting tool
