One Wednesday each month 6:30-10 pm

A casual social gathering and group discussion for those the new and old to the rope/kink/BDSM scene. Socialize, eat, learn and connect with like-minded folx.

“Navigating the kink scene and local community” 

This month at our munch, we'll be discussing "the kink scene" — virtual and/or in-person communities — and how these can look entirely different from region to region, city to city, and even from one space to another. It can be A LOT. Even those of us who've been doing this for a while can be surprised by how the community grows and shifts around us.

Let’s talk it all through, share our experiences, help old and new friends find their path.  Questions are still anonymous and will be directed to the room by our facilitators. 

We will be following our typical format of submitting questions anonymously and reading them out load for a group discussing on each one.

Peer to peer learning, sharing, and support. If you desire a greater understanding or something, have experience to share, or just want to take in more community lead education, please join us.

Social hour before and after the discussion.

These discussions are for experienced kinksters as much as those brand new to this world. It’s the wide cross section of our community that makes these discussion so powerful. Come on out to share, questions and explore it in your mind with the group.  

The Big O munch will be hosted at Oblige in Detroit. This is our monthly "Topic" munch where we discuss various subjects related to kink, polyamory, BDSM lifestyles and relationship enhancement. (See description above)

YOUR input is valuable! We all help to shape this community and kink culture. Come participate. Please.

Meal choices are Italian, Chicken, Turkey, Vegan, Gluten-Free. Please note your choice after your Fet/Prefered Name when you register on the website. These will be pre-packaged servings made fresh that day.

Meal orders and ticket dead line is Tuesday before by 10AM

  • -If this is your first event at Oblige, please try and arrive as close to doors opening as you can. You may arrive at 6:15 if you like.

    -Social hour and meals 6:30-7:10: Meal are provided by a local deli. Sandwich requests can be submitted with your sign up and ticketing or you can simply pick from a verity of different sandwiches on hand. 

    -Formal Group Discussion 7:10 -9:00 Attendees anonymously submit questions/talking points/comments durning the social hour of the munch. Upon entering everyone will be giving a blank 3x5 card to write their thoughts on. 

    -Those 3x5 cards are turned in and then organized by the discussion facilitators.

    -When the discussion session starts the facilitators read each card outlaid and attendees given the opportunity to discuss as a large group.

    -Following the group discussion the space will remain open until 10:00 for continued small group discussions, socializing, and/or tours of the space.
