August 21st: Rope/Shibari Workshop- “Tug-O-War” (Torture Ties) with _MrNobody & Ser0tonin
-
This week, @_MrNobody and @ser0tonin_ are back in The Rope Room with a “torture” tie class.
The classic game of tug-o-war illustrates how opposing forces can be used to manipulate rope. In bondage, this concept can be used to add a sadistic twist to your ties. We'll discuss and demo a few different ways to incorporate this concept, then open the floor so participants can experiment for themselves. Depending on your own skill level, you may wish to bring anywhere between 2-8 lengths of roughly 8m rope, as well as a kettlebell, full backpack, or similar weighted object you can tie. All participants are expected to have an understanding of rope safety and to be willing/able to maintain body awareness and communication in challenging ties. Self-riggers are welcome.
Format: tie-along (partner/solo)
Skills required (tops): single column, half hitch, futomomo (recommended), upline tie-off (recommended)
Skills required (bottoms): advanced body awareness, ability to communicate limits under stress
